SWEET NOTHINGS
Don’t tell me you love me–
I know what you love:
my lips and my tits and my eyes
and my curves and my pussy that
fits you like a motherfucking glove
it’s the tangible things that you love,
and I know this because you only tell me
just before you cum
I have a mind behind these eyes
and a heart beneath these tits;
I like to have conversation
a little intellectual stimulation
some emotional bliss
but you just want to shoot the shit
and blow hot air in my ear and watch
me inflate like a fuck doll…
and there I am with my long legs spread
just waiting for your next declaration
of love
____________
I’M NOT YOUR ICE CREAM CONE
Give it up.
Don’t waste your time telling me
I’m the prettiest girl
or that I’ve got the most incredible eyes
in the fucking world
I won’t melt anymore
You might have licked me into submission before
but that was a long time ago:
at a low point in my life
back when I thought you were God
when you had promised me the world
but all I ended up with
was the short end of the stick
and a bad, bad taste in my mouth
so fuck off, you worthless dick;
go find yourself another flavor of the month
to lick
____________
WAITING FOR A SUNNY DAY
Sure, I know–
you love me
you love me when the rent is paid
when your ex-wife isn’t trying
to cut your balls off for child support
and alimony
when the car runs great
and the Lakers win…
but aside from all that
I’m just a piece of ass
it’s nice to know where I rate in your life;
somewhere between a hard cock
and a hard place
write the fuck on!
Thanks much for your support, Winnie!!!
Willikers, I just did some of dat stuff to my wife and I hope she liked it better than this! Good poems, though, although I don’t just tell my wife that I like her hooters and her mind when I’m gobbling the goose or when she is putting the pork sword in her giggle duct! I are a sensitive man! Just ask me.
Haha…oh, I like it, alright, but I guess it just depends on who you’re with…
Each of these poems grabbed me by the throat. Love your bare-bone style of laying it out there and keeping things poetic as you craft your narrative.
If you have a book out, I would be interested in getting one.
Thanks for the compliment, Duane; much appreciated. I put together a chapbook of my stuff a few years ago, and I think I might have a copy floating around somewhere in my closet, but not entirely sure…..have to check on that.
Great. If you find it let me know the cost with shipping. I am looking forward to reading more of your work.
Hey Duane–found the book, which you can get directly through me. cyn1966@netzero.com
These left me breathless. Your style is fresh and fuck anybody who doesn’t get it.
