Among the shade of ancient trees
lined to offer space between
temperate temperature drops
two minute gaps into Heathrow
sun catches metal through cloud gaps
A girl in black vest and leggings
feet on show strides
these paths stop the grass from
wearing out
deckchairs striped green and white
are trees really the lungs of the city?
people with guidebooks masked
Japanese carry umbrellas despite
a lack of rain
